Skiing

Veronica learned to ski this winter. Weekly trips to Snoqualmie on Sunday afternoons with Daddy did the trick. The first day was in the mid 30's, raining, and Veronica's teacher failed to actually provide any lessons... and she loved it. The temperature stayed below freezing for the rest of the lessons. It was a little too cold on the final day and poor Veronica learned the pain of hands and feet thawing after 2 hours in the cold. In between it being too warm and too cold, Veronica was perfect on the mountain. She was a great student and great sport. The constant doling of candy may have played a small part.

The long hours on the road, sometimes sitting still while the DOT did avalanche control on the pass, won't be missed. Thank goodness for the Subaru. It earned it's place in the driveway this winter.
